FELICIE The research program aims to provide family contexts of tomorrow's elderly in a sample of nine European countries (Germany Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Czech Republic and United Kingdom).

A first set of population projections was calculated distinguishing the marital status of individuals and their change over time and generations. These projections have been used then
basis for calculating projections derived from two different scenarios of change in health status. In the first, the disability rate by age and marital status were held constant.

The second scenario assumes that all the years gained in life expectancy are healthy years. The rates of disability are declining in every age of about 20% by 2030. ... / ...

These projections do not include possible changes in bond between parents and children, desire for independence generations of residential, social norms or political guidance in support of dependence. Their goal is to show how changes in certain characteristics of seniors - in large part already included in the history of generations past - will transform their family background in both their structure and in their workforce ... / ...

organized screening of breast cancer

campaign organized screening of breast cancer, a key measure of the Cancer Plan, covers all of France since March 2004.

Despite steady progress, the participation rate (40%) is still far from European indicators that set a target of 70 % For this program to be fully effective. It is therefore important to convince women to participate in the process of organized screening of breast cancer. From this point of view, the consultation may be an ideal time to inform patients and provide useful information on
the interest of screening.

The risk of developing breast cancer increases with age. Quite rare before age 30, it increases with age to become a maximum between 60 and 69 years. The average age is 61 years old at diagnosis.

Whatever age, it is important for women to be attentive to the presence of suspicious signs on the breast

* emergence of a "ball";
* Redness;
* occurrence of a blood stained discharge from the nipple ...

Although most of these signs are not serious, it is important to consult a doctor or a gynecologist in doubt.

Regular screening is recommended because of the increased risk associated with age. In general, we recommend a mammogram every two years. Women 50 to 74 are invited by mail by the public authorities to perform a mammogram. This is called the organized screening.

Noise at work bothers one person in two

Produced as part of the national day of the hearing, a survey by Ipsos for Médéric shows that problems of noise on the workplace no longer just the industry. The voice, telephone, music hinder employees in the tertiary sector, bringing the share of assets bothered by noise at work in more than one in two.

major theme of the National Day of hearing (JNA), held March 13, 2008, noise at work is not a marginal phenomenon. Although regulated, it affects more than half of assets in France, affecting all sectors.

In fact, if employees of industry and construction are the most affected, the administration does not rule out the debate, since 58% say they frequently or often bothered by noise.

addition to mechanical noise prevailing in industry and construction, voice, telephone, music or traffic noise and pollution are real assets for the tertiary, which are themselves much less sensitive the problem. Thus, 41% assets affected by the noise call themselves insufficiently informed on the effects of noise on health.
