Today Thursday, February 3, 2011, at 7 pm we went to the slaughterhouse of Vendome. We have seen first pigs, cattle, followed by horses, sheep and goats at last. So we followed all the steps of the slaughter:
- Starting with the killing ...
- The various cuts ... (rectum, genital ,...)
- Counting, evisceration of the animal ...
We found the visit very informative despite blast-the heart of some.

Minister of Agriculture, Bruno Le Maire announced Thursday, Feb. 3 advance payment of aid to cattle farmers.
Thus, the balance of the national share of the premium for suckler cows over 65 million euros for more than 88,000 farmers, has been paid from the end of last week.
The share of the aid community (PMTVA), some 200 million euros, will be paid March 15, that is to say three months before the usual date of payment.
